I started running in 2011 when I entered the Bupa Great Manchester 10k. I went from the girl who used to avoid PE to one who kind of enjoyed running – imagine that! I plodded along now and again after the Bupa Great Manchester 10k, running a few 10k races here and there but then I felt the need to give myself a new challenge.

In 2013, I ran my first half marathon. I was well and truly hooked on running. In 2014 I face my new challenge of running my first full marathon. I completed my marathon in just over 4 1/2 hours, finishing in 4.33.34.

I now run with Penny Lane Striders in Liverpool and hope to run more marathons and beat my PB. This blog will aim to document my journey through exercise and chasing new PBs!
